工藤千夏　　Chinatsu Kudo ニューヨーク市立大学大学院演劇科修士課程修了。コピーライターとして、朝日広告賞、消費者のためになる広告賞など多数受賞。広告代理店勤務と平行し、92年より青年団に参加、初演『北限の猿』（作・演出：平田オリザ）等に出演。演劇活動に専念するために退社、米国留学を敢行。留学中(2000〜2003)に、マック・ウェルマンに師事、劇作を始める。英語による自作の、『D』（2002年６月）、『I can't live without you, but I can't live with you.』（同12月）をニューヨークにてリーディング上演。また、同じく12月には、ニューヨーク市立大学グラデュエイト・センターにて、平田オリザ作『阿房列車』の英語版、日本語オリジナル版のリーディング同時上演を企画、翻訳、演出、出演する。2003年１月より青年団演出部に所属、日本での活動を開始する。 また、作詞家としての仕事にも意欲的で、2002年10月紀尾井町ホールで行われたソプラノ歌手林正子リサイタルのライブ盤『祈り〜En Priere』（作曲：笠松泰洋、作詞：工藤千夏）がリリースされた他、2004年夏には青森県三戸郡福地村立福地小学校校歌の作詞も手掛けている。 Chinatsu Kudo Chinatsu has won numerous awards as a copywriter in Japan. While working for a major ad agency in Tokyo, she joined the Seinendan in 1992. She holds a Master of Arts from CUNY Brooklyn College, where she studied playwriting with Mac Wellman. Her plays D and I can't live without you, but I can't live with you have been performed as readings in NY, in 2002, as well as she produced and directed English and Japanese versions of Oriza Hirata's play Travel on Train, which was presented in CUNY Graduate Center. After going back to Japan, she belongs to the directing section in the Seinendan and presides her own company Usagian. She composed and directed her plays, Uno Tamago, Makka na Shiro, Enshuritsu no Yoru and Hoshi Mamoru Inu.
